Our Terms of Business.

These are the terms of business that apply when you instruct Lanes Vets Limited to provide veterinary care or other services to you or your pet. By registering with us, you agree to these terms.

1. The practice

Lanes Vets Limited is an independent veterinary practice registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Our main surgery is at Leachfield Industrial Estate, Green Lane West, Cabus, Garstang, Lancashire PR3 1PR.

2. Our services

We provide veterinary services as a Registered Veterinary Practice. The specific care we provide will be discussed with you in clinic and confirmed in a written estimate before treatment begins.

3. Estimates and payment

We provide written estimates before any treatment, in line with Competition and Markets Authority guidance. Estimates are good-faith projections. Final costs may vary if your pet’s condition requires more or less work than expected. We will keep you informed throughout.

Payment is required at the time of treatment unless other arrangements have been agreed in writing. We accept cash, debit and credit cards. We do not have a direct insurance claim arrangement with every insurer; please ask in advance.

4. Insurance claims

We are happy to support insurance claims. In most cases, you will pay the practice in full and reclaim from your insurer, although direct claims may be possible for larger bills by prior arrangement. An administrative fee applies to insurance claim processing.

5. Prescriptions

By law we may only dispense prescription medication for animals under our care. We must have seen your pet within the last six to twelve months (depending on the medication) before we can dispense. Written prescriptions for use elsewhere are available on request, subject to a prescription fee.

6. Out-of-hours

Lanes runs its own twenty-four-hour emergency service from Garstang. An out-of-hours fee applies to emergency consultations outside normal opening hours.

7. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please follow our Complaints Procedure. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and respond fully within 14 working days.

8. Ownership disclosure

Lanes Vets Limited is an independent practice, owned by the staff who work in it. We are not part of any corporate group.
